Creme de la Creme, The Ultimate Wedding Show Experience

I am so excited to share my experience at the Crème de la Crème Wedding Show with you…

Countdown Events produced its thirteenth Crème de la Crème Wedding Show at the beautiful Fairmont Vancouver Hotel on November 19th, 2017.

This is the ultimate wedding show that every bride should attend. I’ve been to many wedding shows and most have felt very much like a trade show. Booth after booth of different vendors with all their marketing materials out. That is not what you experience at Crème de la Crème.

Crème de la Crème is an experience in itself.

It is meant to inspire, to transport you to another world of decadence, luxury and most importantly love. It raises the standard of all wedding shows with an unrivaled haute couture bridal fashion show and trend setting tablescapes. All your senses come to life the moment you climb the first few stairs. Beautiful music, the air full of fresh aromatic florals, the taste of delectable treats and appetizers, the feel of the most beautiful fabrics and the most creative wedding designs.

Love is truly visible throughout and is evident by the amount of attention and thought put into every detail by Soha and her team.

Every year, I look forward to the announcement that tickets are finally available for purchase and all the little teasers leading up to the big day hinting at what will be waiting for you when you arrive. This year I planned to do it right, go for a nice breakfast at the Fairmont, and spend the day at the show taking in everything it offered at my pace.

I’ve done afternoon tea and cocktails at the Fairmont before, but this was my first breakfast. I had the Cornbread Hotcake and Bellini Mimosa. I cannot rave enough about this. It was mouth wateringly delicious. I’ll definitely be back for it soon.

Now onto the show…

As you walk up the stairs to the ballrooms you are immersed in beauty. The stairs were even lined with beautiful phrases about love (with one phrase in French –bonus points!). Beautiful floral arrangements and draped fabric really transformed this entrance creating the most romantic air.

As you enter the first room you are welcomed with a gift bag which included wedding magazines, samples of products and treats and information on select vendors. If you ate a bride-to-be, you receive beautiful stud earrings designed by the one and only Elsa Corsi. This is such a beautiful and generous gift. Any bride would love to have a pair of Elsa Corsi earrings!

Archimallows was one vendor I was dying to try. I had been following their Instagram account and couldn’t wait to try one of their pretty gourmet marshmallows. I’m a sucker for marshmallows. Out came the torch and that is where I almost died. I tried their salted caramel marshmallow which was torched right in front of me. It MELTED in my mouth and left me wanting more…well actually, wanting all of them. I just couldn’t bring myself to deny the other guests the opportunity to taste these, so I walked away slightly drooling.

Joconde Patisserie had their table lined with their insanely gorgeous cakes. Such incredible talent and creative work are put into their designs. It is evident in their work that they truly create a design that compliments the couple’s unique style and taste.

The Glamoury was my next stop where they touched up my guest’s makeup. I love the Glamoury. Their branding is so on point, and I love their work. It didn’t take much to make a big difference, and I loved the natural look they created for my guest.

Beautifully played music entertained us as we walked through the main hallway to the other main rooms.

The hallway was lined with vendors like Yaletown Photography and Momo Chen Cakes and their beautiful booths were decorated with their artwork. You could also find refreshments at one end should you feel so inclined. I personally like to keep my hands free so I can try all the delicious treats.

Hong Photography is one photographer I always keep an eye out for – she is one of my all time favorite photographers and a humble and down to earth human being as well. I can spend hours perusing her images.

Eclat Décor had a jaw dropping setup. Beautiful mirrors and crystals that really lit up the whole area. You can expect nothing less than perfection from Eclat Décor, her collection is the epitome of luxury.

I am always intrigued to see Elsa Corsi’s designs. Her jewelry is so beautiful. Whenever I am asked for a recommendation for bridal jewelry, I refer them to Elsa Corsi. You won’t be disappointed.

This is THE place to go to meet exceptional vendors who will turn your dreams into reality. These experienced vendors are the ones you can trust with one of the most important days of your life. It’s always hard to know that you’ve chosen the right vendor by searching on the internet alone. I find it very important to actually know who you are working with, and how do you do that? By meeting them in person of course. Therefore, I will always recommend going to this wedding show so that you can ensure you are making the right choices when selecting the team of artists, who will help create the wedding of your dreams.

The last part of this Wedding Show for me was the Haute Couture Bridal Fashion show by Bisou Bridal. I personally loved seeing so much delicate lace but also a gown with flutter sleeves!  My favorite was the long sleeved lace gown similar to Kate Middleton’s. Viktor and Rolf was in the line-up this year so I was extremely excited to see their gowns. It’s always nice to see how the models are styled as these details give brides ideas on how to style their hair or wear their makeup. Hair and makeup were done by the ever talented Nadia Albano team and it was flawless! I give the models major props – that runway was not easy to walk up and down in some of those gowns but they made it through!
