Want some real-life marriage advice? Well, you are in for a real treat today. I had the amazing opportunity to sit down with Emily and Lane Cuthbert and cannot wait for you to listen in to our chat. Now, in case you don’t know Emily and Lane: they have been married for over 9 years, they have 2 lovely children, are both wedding officiants and if you didn’t think that’s enough, they also offer financial and design services!
They get real honest about their relationship and how they have learned to cope with difficult seasons in their marriage. To me that is a true love story. As much as I love my rom-coms, marriage is not like it is reflected in the movies. You go through ups and downs, there are difficult and trying times, there are arguments, but it is all about how you come through those situations and grow stronger together as a couple that truly matters.
I find marriage is sometimes taken too lightly and people give up easily and move on. Marriage is a commitment. You should be committed to working through the difficult times just as much as enjoying the good times!
