Have you ever struggled being decisive? If yes, then you are not alone! I struggle making quick decisions. I need to process things, make my pro and con list, create a detailed plan and determine all possible outcomes in order to avoid obstacles. I guess it comes from a fear of failing as my competitive nature drives me to succeed.
My guest Ashton Pollock, Founder of Bespoke Decor here in Vancouver, BC blew my mind with her story. She makes decisions quickly and acts on them – and I feel like I can learn a lot from her decisive nature, perhaps we all can!
After being thoroughly inspired by a conference she attended, she made the decision to create a business and wrote up her business plan on a restaurant napkin. Within 2 weeks she quit her full-time job, took out a bank loan and off she went! Years later, she now owns a successful business with a team of employees managing up to 600 client’s event a year! Can you say WOW!?
I loved hearing about her journey to success but also how she balances the demands of a running a business while still including a self-care routine and making her relationship with her husband a priority. Self-care and relationship-care can come in many forms and it is all dependent on the individual(s) and what their needs are. Ashton shares what helps her reset and what her and her husband do to keep connected, and I loved how simple it was.
