Self-sabotage is something many of us experience, most of the time subconsciously.
But have no fear, my guest Brianna Wiest, has an amazing book releasing in June 2020 that dives incredibly deep into this topic. Fortunately for me, I was able to get a copy and have been loving how much knowledge and insight Brianna shares into this behavior.
In this episode of the LOVE Unplugged, we scratch the surface of her book and discuss what self-sabotage exactly is. How do you know you are self-sabotaging?
What are the warning signs that you should look for? And how is this behavior rooted?
Experiencing self-sabotage myself, I realized I didn’t even know it. I would block myself from making the money I needed to make to stop working 14 hour days. I wanted to stop working, I knew I could make the money I thought I was worth, but I always blocked myself from opportunities or talked myself out of why I was capable of getting the money I knew I needed.
All the while, the real issue was my fear of having the free time to notice how alone I was. I had put all my relationships on hold for so long to be there for my family during a difficult time that I lost most of them. If I was financially stable, I wouldn’t have to work so much. And that means I would have more free time – to notice how empty that free time was!
It was so interesting to hear that Brianna had a friend who had a similar experience!
So how do we stop self-sabotage? How do we prepare for the healing process? What the steps we need to take? Brianna takes us through the process and what we can expect.
So grab yourself a cup of organic tea, get comfy and ready to learn from an amazing experience!
