To grow your business, you must take the time to grow on a personal level.
I never quite realized this until year 2 of creating my business. There are so many things that come up when you start and grow a business that challenges you on a deep level that if you don’t do the inner work, you will stay stagnate.
One way to reflect on this is to ask yourself “where will I be one year from now if I continue to do things the same way?”
Today’s episode is the perfect chat for you if you are needing this loving nudge to take the first step to focusing inwards so that you are able to show up as the best version of you in your business and life.
My guest, Kelly Marcyniuk, Founder of The Freedom Babe and Host of The Freedom Babe podcast joins me today and shares her entrepreneurial journey and the golden nuggets of wisdom she has learned along the way creating and growing her business.
A lesson she learned is that being hard on yourself doesn’t get you anywhere. So many of us can relate to this. I know I set super high expectations for myself and if I fall short or I don’t achieve my goals or I don’t quite do something well, I am my worst critic, but what good does that do me?
When you take consistent action, you create less room for fear to co-exist. And fear is something that is often experienced as an entrepreneur which can stop you from achieving great things or going after something you really want but are scared to do – like hosting an event or launching a course.
Another lesson she shares is how perfect is unrelatable. Showing up as our true selves on social media and letting our community “in” is so difficult. It can be hard to be vulnerable and to show our imperfections – but that is what creates connection. No one is perfect, and people cannot relate and truly connect on a deep level – which is what we are aiming to do when growing a community, when all we show is perfect everything is in our lives and businesses.
This is just a glimpse into our chat with so much more shared during our chat. So grab yourself a cup of organic tea or maybe some hot chocolate with marshmallows and get comfy. I hope you enjoy our chat as much as I did!
